1: Whether the University is approved?

Ans.: Yes, Ganpat University is approved under section 2(f) of UGC Act and created under Gujarat State Act No. 19 of 2005. It is a permanent member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

 

2: Is my degree valid in India and abroad if I am awarded a degree by Ganpat University?

Ans.:Yes, The Ganpat University is a permanent member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) which assists universities in obtaining recognition for their degrees, diplomas and examinations from other universities, Indian as well as foreign, hence degree awarded by Ganpat University is valid in India & Abroad.

 

3: What is the recognition of the degree offered by Ganpat University?

Ans.: The degree conferred by Ganpat University is recognized by UGC.

 

4: Which courses are offered in DCS?

Ans.: DCS offers the courses of computer applications which includesB.Sc. (IT) + M.Sc. (IT) (Dual Degree 5 years Integrated program), M.Sc. (IT) (2 years PG program), B.C.A + M.C.A (Dual Degree 5 years Integrated program), M.C.A (2 years PG program, Lateral Entry), M.C.A (3 years PG program), M.C.A (3 Years PG Evening program, Lateral Entry), B.Sc.Tech (ITIMS) + M.Sc.Tech (ITIMS) (Dual Degree 5 years Integrated program), M.Sc. Tech(ITIMS) (2 years PG program) , M.Sc. Tech (MA) (2 years PG program) and M.Sc. (ICT) (2 years PG program)

 

5: Is the institute UGC approved?

Ans.: Yes. Department of computer science is approved by UGC since 2008.

 

6: What is the tuition Fees of program?

Ans: 69000 Tuition Fees (Per Year) for UG Program and 70000 Tuition Fees(Per Year) for PG program.

 

7: Whatfacilities in terms of infrastructure are available in DCS?

Ans.: There are centralized Air conditioned Class Rooms, Labs, Admin Sections and Library. Multimedia projectors in all the class rooms and Labs. Free WIFI Facilities available across the campus with high speed.Canteen facility, Indoor Gaming Zone  in campus.

 

8: What are the services provided by institute to the students?

Ans.: Institute provide the following services to the students at free of cost.

Free Laptops are given to the students at the beginning of the program.

Books are given in each semester from Library Book Bank.

 Institute has made agreement with Oracle Corporation of India for Oracle Training.

Two certificates will be given to the students by Oracle as the contents of OCA is part of the curriculum. It helps for OCA exam and also offer discount if students opt for OCA.

 

9: Is there any Transportation facility in the Campus?

Ans.:Local Transportation is easily available so no need to provide transport facility.

10: What are the eligibility criteria for the various programs run at DCS?

Ans. :

Eligibility criteria for BSC(IT) + MSC(IT) (Dual Degree)

The candidate must have passed [10+2] examination under the higher secondary examination with English and one of these subjects:(i)Maths (ii) Business Maths (iii) Statistics (iv) Economics (v) Book Keeping (vi) Accountancy (vii) Computer (viii) Elements of Accountancy (ix) Biology

 

Criteria for the Lateral entry in the 3rd semester of B.Sc.(IT)

The students who have passed diploma in (Computer Engineering/ Information Technology Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronic Engineering/ Electrical Engineering with minimum 45% in General category and 40% in reserved category) can get the admission in 3rd semester of B.Sc.(CA&IT) directly.

Admission norms are subject to change as per guidelines of Ganpat University).

 

Eligibility criteria for B.C.A + M.C.A (Dual Degree)

The candidate must have passed [10+2] examination under the higher secondary examination with English and one of these subjects:(i)Maths (ii) Business Maths (iii) Statistics (iv) Economics (v) Book Keeping (vi) Accountancy (vii) Computer (viii) Elements of Accountancy (ix) Biology

 

Criteria for the Lateral entry in the 3rd semester of B.C.A.

The students who have passed diploma in (Computer Engineering/ Information Technology Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronic Engineering/ Electrical Engineering with minimum 45% in General category and 40% in reserved category) can get the admission in 3rd semester of B.Sc.(CA&IT) directly.

Eligibility criteria for B.Sc. Tech (ITIMS) + M.Sc. Tech (ITIMS)(Dual Degree)

The eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Sc. Tech (ITIMS) program is 12th pass in any stream or equivalent or Diploma holders after 10th from Recognized Polytechnic Institutes.

 

Criteria for the Lateral entry in the 3rd semester of B.Sc. Tech (ITIMS):

The students who have passed diploma in (Computer Engineering/ Information Technology Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electronic Engineering/ Electrical Engineering with minimum 45% in General category and 40% in reserved category) can get the admission in 3rd semester of B.Sc.(CA&IT) directly.

Admission norms are subject to change as per guidelines of Ganpat University).

 

M.Sc. (IT) (2 years):

The applicant must have passed bachelor’s degree examinationunder(10+2+3) or (10+2+4) pattern in ComputerScience/Application/Engineering/Information Technology, i.e. B.C.A., B.Sc.(Computer Science), B.I.T.,B.E.(CE),B.E.(IT) etc.

 

M.C.A. (2 years): 

The applicant must have passed bachelor’s degree examination under(10+2+3) or (10+2+4) pattern in Computer Science/Application/Engineering/Information Technology, i.e. B.C.A., B.Sc.(Computer  Science), B.I.T.,B.E.(CE),B.E.(IT) etc. OR P.G.D.C.A.

 

M.C.A. (3 years): 

Any Graduate for 3 Years. 

 

M.Sc. (ICT) (2 years):

The applicant must have passed bachelor’s degree examinationunder(10+2+3) or (10+2+4) pattern in ComputerScience/Application/Engineering/Information Technology, i.e. B.C.A., B.Sc.(Computer Science), B.I.T.,B.E.(CE),B.E.(IT) etc.

 

11: What is the procedure for the admission? When does the admission process start?

Ans.:Spot admissions are given at Ahmedabad campus of DCS, Ganpat University after the announcement of the result.

 

12: Are there any curricular or co-curricular activities arranged in DCS?

Ans.:  Yes, DCS attempts to illuminate, relax and rejoice the students through the wide array of co curricular and extracurricular activities.Hence co curricular activitylike workshop, seminar, expert lectures and industry visit are arranged throughout the Academic year. While extracurricular activitylike Fresher party, teacher’s day Sportsweek, Garba function, Days Celebration,Annual function, farewell partyetc are organized.

 

13: Is there any Hostel Facility in the Campus?

Ans.:No, But the Local and nearby hostels provide accommodation to the students.

14: Is scholarship provided to the students? What are the criteria?

Ans.:

  • Yes, there are three categories of Scholarship provided by the Institute.
  • Government  scholarship(SC,ST free  *condition applied)
  • Student who secures first rank in University exam every semester.

 

15: How is the placement in DCS? Is there any training given to the students for PI and GD?

 

Ans.:Yes,The training and placement cell works persistently towards refining the students for the industry interaction. T&P providesinformation and training regarding personal interviews, group discussion, career opportunities, competitive exams and campus interviews the cell takes care of reaching out to the top recruiters by personal visits, invitation, personal contacts, correspondence, alumni, and through several other sources. Many reputed companies of IT industries conduct campus interviews regularly for the final year students. So far DCS has an excellent placement record on account of academic excellence the institute has built up.

 

16: What arethe other amenities in the campus?

Ans.:Amenities in the forms of Auditoriums, Indoor Gaming Zone, Table Tennis court, Canteens, fulfill the needs of students.

 

17:What is the examination pattern at DCS/GNU?

Ans.: GanpatUniversity has implemented the continuous evolution pattern in the internal examination and the university follows choice based credit system in the external examination

 

18:Can I take online admission?

Ans.:Yes.

 

19: What are the various ways to pay the fees?

The fees for the various courses can be paid byCash, DD, cheque and by online payment through paytm.
